Injuries from Rollover Accidents
Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) are perceived to have sturdier
interiors that would protect passengers from greater harm in
accidents and collisions. But then injuries from these accidents
are almost expected. Here are some of the injuries that a person
may likely suffer from rollover accidents:
* Neck Injuries – Seatbelts can cause strain and pressure to
muscles in the neck area. This would cause much pain and
discomfort to the victim after an accident. The pain, however,
can be alleviated by home treatments like cold compress. If pain
persists after applying cold compress for at least 20 minutes
each hour, the victim must consult a doctor.
* Head and Brain Injuries – Injuries in the head area are caused
by sudden impact with a hard object or surface. Roof crashes can
cause head and brain injuries which has the possibility of
leaving a person with memory problems and severe headaches.
* Spinal Cord Injuries – These injuries can be incurred from
severe impact with a hard object. Any slight damage to a
person’s spinal cord can cause paralysis of the affected area
that could be either permanent or temporary.
A person may suffer from spinal injuries in rollover accidents,
especially if he is not wearing a seatbelt, which would prevent
him from falling and support his head and neck area with his
body weight.
SUV Roll over Injury can cause a person much discomfort and
hassle. Severe cases of which can even cause victims to loss
their means of income and be paralyzed for life. To avoid them,
drivers of SUV must exercise extra caution in maneuvering the
vehicle.
Also, it is important that buyers inquire about safety features
of a vehicle before they buy them. This would give them an idea
on how to use the car’s safety features and mechanism and
therefore, prevent serious injury.
